Cape Organization for Rights of the Disabled (CORD) and the Easter Seals Assistive Technology Regional Center (ATRC) are teaming up to hold an Assistive Technology Fair. People can come and talk to CORD and Easter Seals ATRC personnel to learn about high and low-tech assistive devices. Many devices will be on display for a hands-on experience.
CORD - is the Independent Living Center serving Cape Cod and the Islands and has been working since 1984 to advance the independence, productivity and integration of people with disabilities, including deaf and hard of hearing people, into mainstream society.
The Easter Seals Assistive Technology Regional Center (ATRC) helps people with disabilities in Eastern Massachusetts make informed decisions about assistive technology they can use to increase their independence at home, on the job or in school. The center shares the Easter Seals mission: ensuring that children and adults with disabilities have equal opportunities to live, learn, work and play.
